About
Hi, I’m Bibby.
I make portraits, mostly in the studio against a plain seamless backdrop. No sets, no styling team: just light, and whatever people bring with them. A rosary, a lace veil, a masquerade mask, a Christmas wreath in July, a best friend.
Photography runs in the family. My mom, Jenn Bibby, photographs weddings, seniors and couples down in Fayetteville, and she took the portrait on this page. I’m the one indoors with the backdrop.
Most frames here were made on entry-level DSLRs with an 18–55mm kit zoom, and the newest session on a Nikon D750 with a 35mm f/1.4. Either way, I would rather spend the effort on light, on timing, and on getting people comfortable enough to stop posing and start laughing.
When I’m not behind a camera I’m usually on the air as KN4RQL, or tinkering with the home servers that run this site.
